How can we make this useful in Figma?

One of the stated goals of this tool is to contribute to a design system as created/maintained in Figma. Currently it does not do this.

There seem to be a few key ways it could help with this:

Export SVGs that could be opened in Figma #11
For visualizations (like the typography chart) that cannot be exported to SVGs, consider creating a Figma plugin that can load them

@kelsey-taylor Would (2) be helpful? When you get a chance would you mind helping us define the use case here?

I think these would both be useful @ebrelsford!

A couple use cases I see for the design system in Figma:

Maintaining a visual source of truth for what's included in each release by exporting the outputs into Figma after a release is done. We've been asked about changes across different releases a lot, so it'd be nice to have this visual reference.
Exporting work-in-progress stylesheets to help with the design process. The main use cases I have in mind here are changes like the road network colors or dark map, where seeing these visuals will really help iterate on prototypes and catch unintended changes.

This issue has run its course. Might be useful to have a higher levels disucssion about carto tools for Figma, but no actions here.
