Sections of map not loading #107

At http://maps.stamen.com/#terrain/17/-30.29379/153.13002 there are quite large sections of the map that aren't loading at certain zoom levels. I've attached a screenshot...

This applies to the terrain-background layer too. There it affects also lower zoom levels. (see https://josm.openstreetmap.de/ticket/17953)

I have a similar problem with watercolor and terrain maps, for example here: http://maps.stamen.com/watercolor/#16/47.2144/12.1700

Toner seems to work fine in that location

I'm also seeing this problem with Terrain. Toner seems fine.

Seconded for terrain, the zoom level issue seems to be variable in some places.

I ran into this yesterday, was trying to do continental U.S. at max zoom level. Am doing state by state now, not sure where the tile issue was geographically.

FWIW, the Stadia Maps docs says this about the watercolor maps:

Seems they are fundamentally missing. Very sad since they are quite cool in my opinion!

Edit: Good news! The Toner and Terrain maps have this bit in the docs:

Who knows if watercolor will have the same treatment.
