Some of this might be fixed when we reproject the data (issue #1) but I think there are other visual artifacts that are happening because the GeoJSON polygons are not closed. Not sure if this is due to errors in the original shapefiles, or something that's happening in the SHP-to-GeoJSON conversion.

Looks like this got fixed at some point.

Actually, I still need to deal with the difference in generalization along the coasts:
