Summary
Versions of the docs before 2.27 are vendoring old jquery versions which are causing security notifications on this repository. Bookdown seems like it updated jquery with no other changes to their source, so a drop-in replacement of the version from 2.28 seems reasonable. Local testing suggests this worked.
