Stan instances at NumFOCUS AWS #3129

I'm working with the NumFOCUS infrastructure team, and we currently have the mcstan organization linked to our billing. I think this was done when NumFOCUS had free AWS credits, but we're now being billed for our AWS costs.

Nobody in the committee knows what's in this mc-stan organization, if this is still in use, or who should we contact for information... We're also negotiating new partnerships with AWS, GCP, and OVH to sponsor new credits. This could open new options for whatever you're running (like more resources or using different providers), but those cloud companies require information on what the credits they sponsor are being used for.

Can the right person who knows about this get in touch with me please, and provide the next information:

Feel free to comment on this issue, or contact me directly, my email address should be visible in my GitHub profile, and there are other ways to contact me in my personal site. Thank you!

Hi, @datapythonist. @serban-nicusor-toptal should know the answer to your question. I'll email him and you separately and then close this issue.

The background is that we were using AWS for continuous integration, but have largely moved those cycles over to the Flatiron Institute. There was a discussion of keeping the AWS account for backup if we really needed more elastic compute, but I don't know if that's in place. Nick will know.
