Unable to login to Google Photos #27

I would like to use this plugin (first time user) with Lightroom 6.13. I am however unable to login to Google Photo, in that I press the login button, authorize access to Google Photo, then a new blank window opens in the browser, with nothing. Meanwhile Lightroom asks for the "Verification token provided by the website". I have also tried to generate a Client ID and secret key, but I always get a blank page after redirect and I cannot provide the verification token required for the plugin to start working. I have tried with both the "v0.2-alpha2" and the "v0.1". Am I doing anything wrong or the plugin does not work anymore?

redirect_uri_mismatch is what I get, from Google upon choosing "Login" when I upgraded LR CC to Lightroom CC Classic today and reinstalling the plugin. I keep getting told that Facebook doesn't allow posting anymore too - unrelated perhaps - I have no FB publishing plugins configured.

Workaround for anyone else interested -->

I had to install the latest Alpha, 0.2 and remove the old plugin, add the new plugin removed all the old accounts I had configured, re-added my accounts, requested the auth code (Click Sign in) then the page turns blank, I copied the code from after ?redirect&code= etc, up until the ampersand (&)
