[Editorial] Correct minor errors in Hercules section #2

The “Who” -> ”who” change and removal of the stray “‰” are from errors in the ebook. The “thought might” -> “thought he might” change is from an error in the original.

Also, at least on my device (the most recent Kindle Paperwhite), the endnote number after “As when Alcides” leads only to an empty “Endnotes” page. I’m guessing the other endnote numbers behave similarly.

In addition, I noticed that the original book uses the ligatures “Œ/œ” in place of “Oe/oe” (so “Mount Œta” in place of “Mount Oeta”) and “Æ/æ” in place of “Ae/ae” (so “Æneas” in place of “Aeneas”). I’m not sure if you want to make that change in the ebook, but if you do I’d be happy to make a run at a global search and replace.

Finally, the original book includes a large number of high-quality illustrations, which presumably are also out of copyright. Obtaining those and inserting them into the book is a large job, which I am unfortunately not in a position to undertake, but I thought I’d let you know in case there might be a ready volunteer.

Good catches, thanks! Generally we don't keep ligatures, and we also typically decline to include images except in very rare cases.

The illustration policy makes sense. Part of the reason I mentioned the issue is that I noticed the Standard Ebooks edition of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland does include illustrations, but then John Tenniel’s illustrations for that book are iconically great. (I like them so much I used some of them in a couple of my own books, including my intro tutorial on Git.)
