Describe the issue A simple question: Is it possible to downgrade Standard Notes to a version before the 3.5 upgrade?

If you're able to log into the legacy web app, you can downgrade the desktop and Android apps, but not the iOS (or iPadOS) app. Please make a copy of the backups saved by the desktop app (located via the menu button/bar > Backups > Open Backups Location) before downgrading it.

If you do not have an account, downgrading will result in the loss of all of your notes, so please export them beforehand and try importing them into the legacy web app to make sure that the backup file was exported properly.

What issues are you currently experiencing with v3.5+ of the apps?

Alright, very good.

The desktop and web apps work fine right now, but the Android app freezes and/or crashes a lot. It usually happens during a restart, and sometimes after the device has lost network connection temporarily or switched to a new network. It occured a lot before the 3.5.14 update and a few times after. Sometimes, the only way to get it to work is to sign out or clear cashe and/or data.

Anyway, it's good to know that I can revert to a more stable version of Standard Notes if the problems persist. For me, stability is more important than new features.

By the way, the link to the legacy web app is dead. Can you provide a new link?

I'm sorry to hear that and wish we had received more insightful info from the error logs to determine why the crashes were happening on your devices (which you've mentioned in another thread). Another option aside from downgrading that I've seen another user shared is to disable the device storage encryption via the settings, but that's not for me to recommend.
