SN Clipper: Difficulty when logging in with TOTP 2FA #3493

Have you read the Longevity Statement? Yes

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. Yes. I'm using the Standard Notes Clipper extension on Firefox (v1.1.410) and I'm running into a UX issue with it when I attempt to login. I have both 2FA enabled and I use a complex password for my SN account. As a result of this, I don't know what my password is, nor can I guess what my TOTP token will be. So in order to login to the web clipper, I must tab back-n-forth between the extension modal and my password manager.

Unfortunately when I haven't completed the login flow and I either tab to the password manager application or if I click out of the extension for any reason, the login flow is restarted from the default state. The only way I can login is to have my browser pane not take up the whole screen, reveal the password in the password manager app and keep the TOTP token visible. This way I can click once into the Clipper and complete the login flow successfully prior to clicking out.

Describe the solution you'd like When a user has started the "create" or "login" flows from the extension, include a reasonable timeout (1min?) before restarting the flow completely as if it was the first time the user clicked into the window.

Describe alternatives you've considered This could also be solved through the following alternatives:

I very recently started using Standard Notes and discovered this same issue in Firefox as well. Very annoying 😕 Luckily this is not something I need to often (if it stays logged in), but it was not very user friendly.
