Hey, I'm using macOS Sierra and I'm still facing re-authentication prompts. I'm using the web version of it. When i go to app.standardnotes, com, it asks for re-authentication prompts I've tried multiple browsers like safari, chrome and brave but the problem remains. Please look into it.

Describe the bug Re-authentication prompts are the problem. Every time i give my credentials, it registers as an active session but then asks for email and password again.

To Reproduce Just try to login on standard notes on web on the OS mentioned by me. You can use any browser.

Expected behavior I should be able to login normally

Desktop

I see, in this case, can I ask you to also try a clean reinstallation of the app on your device? You can follow the uninstallation instructions on our website to fully remove all existing data directories, then download and install the latest version for your device on our website's home page

I'm using web app version. I'm using three different browsers. How can above instructions help me? It looks like I'm talking to a bot.

Hi, apologies for my previous instruction, it was a lapse of judgement at the time, as I also missed the fact that you were only experiencing this issue on the web app, specifically.

For the web app, of course it isn't possible to reinstall that, but you can try clearing the site data to ensure that you start over from scratch, as though you visited the site for the first time. Please try out these instructions below for Chrome and Brave:

  1. Right-click anywhere on the web app.
  2. Click on Inspect Element in the context menu
  3. Expand the Developer Tools view that appears until it reveals a button for tab named Application.
  4. Click on Storage.
  5. Click on Clear site data. Clear-site-data
  6. Refresh the web page, and sign in again.
