Support ISO Dates #3736

Have you read the Longevity Statement?

Yes

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

Dates in a spreadsheet cannot be formatted in the international ISO standard. I can only choose between the American Month-Day-Year styles, or very explicit long formats with a day name, etc. This is so frustrating that I cannot use Standard Notes Spreadsheets for anything I want to do.

In Germany, for example, the default order is Day-Month-Year, so I frequently misread American-style dates, which is why I adopted the ISO standard of YYYY-MM-DD for all date displays on all my devices. Standard Notes is the only software that doesn't seem to support it.

Describe the solution you'd like

The fastest-to-implement solution would be to just add ISO format to the list of date formats. A more general solution would let the user define freely how to format the date. Since ISO is the international standard, I think both should be implemented.

Describe alternatives you've considered

There don't seem to be alternatives to this, but maybe I'm just not familiar enough with Standard Notes.

I have just migrated to Standard Notes and this is something that pains me as well. Today there is no non-ambiguous date format for just year, month, day available in sheets - only mm/dd/yyyy. All others add, or remove data such as day of the week. ISO would be perfect, as nobody uses yyyy-dd-mm, the dashes are a clear ISO indication. something like yyyy-MMM-dd (2015-Mar-14) would be great too.
