Advanced Markdown Editor - Default to Preview (Rendered) Mode #878

Closed bashfulrobot closed 3 years ago

Hi there,

Since the majority of the time I am referencing notes VS editing, is there a way to make the "Advanced Markdown Editor" default to the rendered mode for all notes?

Ideally on a new note - it should default to the markdown mode, and then if it is a preexisting note - it should default to the rednered mode.

Thoughts?

Thank you for your time.

Yup, please see here: https://standardnotes.org/help/69/how-do-i-make-an-editor-my-default-editor

@mobitar My question was not how to make the editor the default.

In that editor, there is a "preview" (rendered markdown) mode which shows the content withouth the mardown (Liek a preview). I would like it to default to that vs teh default "edit" mode.

Does that make sense?

Thank you.

Oh sorry. This is not possible currently. Although the editor should remember this on a per-note level, so if you set it to preview it will remember that pref.

Thanks for the info. I had noticed that behavior. I was hopeful I could toggle it globally.
