Delay locking when switching apps #242

Feature request: a configurable timer before locking the app on task switching.

When I get an alert, like that my battery is down to 20%, Standard Notes locks itself. When I need to look something up on Wikipedia, Standard Notes locks itself. I'd like to delay this kind of locking for a small amount of time. One minute will do for me, possibly even 30 seconds. For reference, McAfee True Key locks after 15 minutes.

Currently, there are two options for locks (for passcode and fingerprint separately):

I am proposing a third option, Delayed, with a configurable amount of time with two fields: units (seconds, minutes, or hours) and value (1-99; 99s = 1:39, 99m = 1:39:00, 99h = 4d) or else a unified smart slider.

If it's possible to know the phone itself has been locked, I'd like that to bypass the timer (lock immediately).

I'm using Standard Notes 3.0.21 on iOS.

Thanks for the feedback! I think the desktop app has something similar; I'll pass this along to the team for review. :-)

I'd like to add that "On Quit" never seems to work for me; it just stays unlocked until I restart my phone. So I either have the option to lock way too often or not enough. I do very much like the way it works for the desktop app though.

Thanks for letting us know! I've taken note of that and will ask the team more about its expected behavior on mobile. For what its worth, the "On Quit" condition also applies to "restarting" the app as well.
