The repo description says active fork, but I don't see any activity from the maintainer since summer. Are you still willing to maintain this @starcraftman?

flake8 linting appears unrelated to your change, but could be fixed in line here to make the build happy.

This is very annoying and I'd also like this merged!

Is this still project maintained, or do we need yet another fork?
