The current frame buffer driver does not work with Xorg. If documentation on the StarFive display controller is shared with the beta developers, then they can help fix the current fbdev driver and also create a drm driver for upstream (fbdev is deprecated).
I believe this is StarFive IP so there should be no 3rd party vendor limitations on publishing register level details to the beta developers who want to work on drivers.
