Making it work with Joomla #21

Do you know how to implement this into Joomla 1.5.x? I have tried adding the 
code to the temaplte 
html page as suggested but it has no effect.

I just created a Joomla 1.5 system plugin.  The plugin package includes the .js 
files
with fixes mentioned in the thread.
