Boldav issue #40

cant get PS4KMA + remote play to work together

Various factors

VPN (has since been turned off)
RDP (tried laptop directly without RDP)
Computer uses French locale
azerty keyboard
Laptop

Have given several variants of in progress 2.2.0 and it still doesnt work (most of these variants have been with extra logging and error handling

Current action plan

im going to try running windows in a different language
add logging to gamepad processor to log requests from remote play for "DS4 input", and what we send

Running PS4KMA in French seems fine (that challenged my knowledge of French)

Extra logging in gamepadprocessor isnt happening, so assume something is blocking the injection.

actions

put logging as first line of gamepadprocessor .OnReceiveData
add extra logging for IsRemotePlayInForeground check
add a build datetime to application version
add debugDump call after we "attach"
dump window names too ?

have tried the above it currently looks like remoteplay is not making hid calls

need to do more work to investigate how to remotely debug hid

Short of reverse engineering PS Remote Play, I'm not sure I'm going to have an answer as to why Remote Play isn't talking to the emulated controller (HID)

Alternative idea would be to use Chiaki since it is open source, thus it could be debugged, however Chiaki doesn't work for Boldav. =/

Going to have to park this for Boldav until idea comes along. Going to leave the logging I've added in the app so that it might be useful for other future issues.

Boldav I haven't been able to reach out to you on Discord, if you are reading this can you try again with PS4KMA v3.0.0 with ViGEm. It is a different kind of emulation so you might have luck.
