What version of vigem did you install? What url did you get vigem from? Have you restarted your computer since installing vigem?

Despite installing the ViGEm drivers from Github, the program still thinks I don't have it installed. If problem, how can someone else replicate this?
Install the ViGEm driver from the suggested website, choose the 64x option and install it.

Version: 1.17.333.0 Url (x64): https://github.com/starshinata/PS4-Keyboard-and-Mouse-Adapter/tree/master/installers/vigemBusDriver/ I have restarted my computer twice already
can you send me the application log (to pancakeslp@gmail.com)
The application log for what? And how would I obtain it?
the log of the adapter see https://github.com/starshinata/PS4-Keyboard-and-Mouse-Adapter/blob/master/documentation/welcome-2.png bottom left of the screen
I have sent the log in the email
The error message was "The operation completed successfully", which isn't helpful. See the below link for a build with more error logging, please replicate error and share the new log. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1e1ZMPRAsxQix3AeCcMiVWBFfv7LwGPTU?usp=share_link
Dorkable, if you are still there can you confirm if you read https://github.com/ViGEm/ViGEmBus/issues/85, as this seems very similar
I was discussing this over email with Dorkable, but then he stopped replying, and its been over a week. Will leave this open for a bit, and will close if no reply
I've had the same problem after reinstalling this program with it not picking up on the driver. I looked over the logs and it gives me the same "the operation was completed successfully" message under error. I checked out the link above that was saying the problem was fixed by installing the Xbox 360 drivers. I made sure all those were installed but it's still not picking up on the driver. I tried to use the built with more error logging but when I double-click on it it freezes up my mouse for a couple of seconds but doesn't open. It did show the driver was detected once when opening the program and I thought it was fixed but when I opened it back up again it was giving the same error "vigem not detected"
@mike123yy could you send me a copy of the log so i can double check - pancakeslp@gmail.com
and what OS are you running ?
I emailed you the log so it should be in your inbox. I'm running Windows 11. Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help you find the bug. Thanks
Make sure you have a recent version of vigem bus https://github.com/ViGEm/ViGEmBus/releases
seems the version in my repo isn't new enough to consider windows 11 ( at https://github.com/starshinata/PS4-Keyboard-and-Mouse-Adapter/tree/master/installers/vigemBusDriver )
I downloaded the version from your link instead of the repo and gave the computer restart. When I first opened up the PlayStation mouse and keyboard adapter it showed it was detected and everything was looking good. I close the program and reopened it just to make sure and it started saying not detected again. I tried opening at several more times to check but it won't detect the vigem driver anymore after the first attempt. I will email you another log.
I am aware I have a log on my inbox (ill review it tonight I'm currently at work) What happens if you restart your computer then use the adapter?

I did a restart and tried to open it again but it said driver not detected. I went a step further and uninstalled the driver and then reinstalled it again with a restart to see if that would do anything but it still refuse to pick up on the driver.
Another thing I just noticed it was doing which I don't know if it's related or not is if you open it more than once it says PlayStation controller detected even though no controllers plugged in. It seems to be detecting itself. I did manage on a restart to get it to show the driver detected once again and that's when I noticed the PlayStation controller detected error message. On that time though I had only opened the program once. I tried to use it with the PlayStation just to see if it would work and it came up with a message saying "tell the developer he failed."I assume you programmed that in and my computer is not being a jerk, LOL.I don't know if there might be something on my computer causing the conflict because when I first had this program installed it worked flawlessly without any errors and I was using Windows 11 at that time With the older driver. I wouldn't know what to check to see if that's the case though.I saved the error logs from when this was happening if they would help.
I believe I might have fixed it! I was doing some computer cleanup and I ran Drive booster to update my drivers. It didn't have anything with this specific driver just some bus controllers and network adapters so I'm not sure why it worked but after updating everything I decided to open the program just to check And it's back and functioning. I opened it a couple times just to make sure and its not giving me any problems. Like I said, I have no idea what one would have to do with the other but it made it work. Not sure if it would be the same issue with the original poster dorkable But it's solved for me.Thanks
Interesting I was going to share something that doesnt use vigem so we could be sure about that 1 controller that you think ps4kma emulating early, glad its fixed though
when you say "Drive booster" do you mean https://store.steampowered.com/app/920490/Driver_Booster_for_Steam/ ?
That looks like the same program just the steam version. Here's a link for the one I use: https://www.iobit.com/en/driver-booster.php I'm glad it's back up and working too! Honestly, you should be selling it. rewasd Does and it's less compatible with devices than this program. I cant even use that program because it wont pick up on my mouse and keyboard set up. Only thing this is missing is the touchpad swipe support. But either way, thanks for making it!
