Yeah, I hadn't thought of creating perhaps a second library or just maybe even creating a second mount point for just the top-level of the common-changed folders. Essentially I'd separate 2D from 3D, so that may be a simpler solution.
Thank you for the inspiration!
I have a very large (16Tb+) library but there's only 5 or 6 directories that get updated on a regular basis. It would be helpful if I could configure some pre-defined folders to scan, rather than scanning the entire library for changes or manually drilling through and choosing the folders each time.
Describe the solution you'd like As a supplement to "Scan" and "Selective Scan", an option whereby I can configure (for example) 5 folders of choice, then have a button to scan just those.
Describe alternatives you've considered Only alternative for this is to scan the entire library (takes time and unnecessary use of resources) or do selective scans (takes several mouse clicks and time to just select folders that need to be scanned)
Additional context I have quite the tree of directories/nested directories. It takes some time and a lot of mouse clicks to drill through and choose the folders to be scanned if I do a "Selective" and a lot of mouse clicks. Obviously the other option is to scan the top-level of where the folders are but similar to a full scan, this is unnecessary and scans a lot of files that haven't changed so seems wasteful.
