AWS now supports execution of Lambda functions at CloudFront edge locations. See http://docs.aws.amazon.com/lambda/latest/dg/lambda-edge.html

Requirements

SLS-Z should be extended to offer the new nodejs43-edge runtime.
The CF template or the used rule has to include the lambda:GetFunction permission on edgelambda.amazonaws.com.
The Edge event types have to be supported: viewer/origin request/response
On deploy the system limitations should be checked

System limitations

Max. memory 128MB
Max. timeout 50 ms
Uncompressed code size 1MB
