@jtyson25 I meant to ask at the end of class -- did you get the app published? If not, I can take a closer look . . .

I know you spent a long time trying to figure out the Shiny app, but I think it will be easier to just create the pop-ups directly in Leaflet. I've added example code in this leaflet_popup_example.R file, which is basically all your code plus lines 29-30 to add the pop-ups when a person clicks on an area.
