It's a pleasure to meet you! I am sure your work will bring valuable insights to your field. It's great to see that you're proactively seeking to strengthen your foundation in statistics and R-based programming, given the complexity of the datasets you'll be working with. I'm looking forward to collaborating with you throughout this course.
Hi Maggie,
It's great to meet you! Your background and research interests sound incredibly fascinating! Funny story: I also wanted to get into the MD/PhD program, but gave up after studying for the MCAT! Lol! Great to have you and looking forward to learning from you!
Nice to meet you Maggie! Your background in medicine and your focus on immunology, particularly in the context of lung diseases, is both important and cutting-edge. Looking forward to collaborating with you!
Nice to meet you, Maggie! Though I don’t fully understand some medical jargons you used in your self-introduction, looks like you are super professional👏👏👏 I feel lucky to be in the same group with u🙌
Hello everyone,
My name is Maggie Chopra. I am an MD/PhD student who just completed my first two years of medicine and transitioned to full-time graduate studies in the Experimental Medicine program as of May 2023. I am an aspiring immunologist keen on studying various lung diseases from allergic asthma, COPD and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). Currently, I am investigating how early life factors during pregnancy shape immune development and subsequently predispose or protect individuals from developing chronic immunological diseases later in life. I will be using techniques such as mass cytometry and single-cell RNA sequencing during my PhD, therefore I am taking this course to gain a stronger foundational understanding of statistics and R-based programming that will be valuable for analyzing high-dimensional datasets. Looking forward to meeting and working with you all.
