My name is Chun Hei Yiu, but most people call me Jacky. I am a master's student in Bioinformatics at UBC, and my master's supervisor is Dr. Adi Steif. I am also a recently graduated SFU student with a joint major in computer science and molecular biology.

I previously worked in 3 Bioinformatics labs in BC Cancer (Dr. Birol, Dr. Aparicio, and Dr. Ryan Morin). My research interest is single-cell cancer genomics and machine learning. My current topics of research are follicular lymphoma and single-cell long-read sequencing.

In my spare time, I like to read fiction and play video games (my favourite is Overwatch and Mass Effect), but I also like extreme activity like skydiving and bungee jumping.
