There is demand for LocusZoom figures to be used in publications, which have different readability requirements. Some of our current features are not very printer friendly:
The default font size may be a bit small for readability
Scatter point labels and axis labels do not obey the same font size scaling as other elements
Some labels (eg phewas scatter category names) are clipped due to insufficient vertical space
Several options exist to improve this: eg a css media stylesheet with custom rules for printing, or alternate stylesheets that can optionally be added to the page by a developer, and selected manually by the user on demand.
Sarah is making some tweaks to support publication, and I've created this ticket so we can follow up after learning a bit more about the best settings for her use case. As we expand the hosted plotting service we would expect more demand for these features in the future.
