The Broad has asked if it would be possible to have more than one set of linked tracks. Currently options like x_linked are global (zoom one panel, and all other linked panels move as well).
We might instead want to be able to zoom into one track separate from the parent scale. This would be combined with a brushing feature / "highlight region" display, such as the "zoom in on a region" feature in the GTEx portal, which allows multi-scale zooming/browsing of related tracks / regions
