Confusion over what is being saved when you go "save and next"

At the moment, if I don't click "save + next" but just move forward to another principle, the tool nonetheless saves what I input (that's good) and marks as green the principle (the one I have completed but not actively saved) - that's not so good. Could the ones that aren't properly saved have a different colour or just no colour until they are actively saved? It's nice of course that the tool keeps the input values even if one doesn't save!

This looks like an issue with explaining what's going on.

The "save and next" button is for the whole form, but Nina assumed it only was for the currently shown tab. This makes sense. The question is: how to resolve this?
Easiset approach = add some extra text to explain how the tabs work + what is being saved when the user clicks save.
