Corey also reported he had issues with his router due to power outages/disk space, but that might be a red herring.
I might try running my own node locally as a test to see if it connects.
When I try and connect to the three genesis nodes that Status runs, the following happens:
I have checked the nodes to confirm that this message if received and responded to. The logs clearly show the connected node ID, the request, and the response. It just never seems to get returned to my local node.
I am going to check on a cloud instance to see if I get the same issue.
ok, so I started a micro AWS instance and was able to bootstrap the network and get it to sync and return "healthy" on the liveness check, meaning that everything on our end is setup correctly, and the problems I'm facing are local to my LAN network.
It also means that those who are running nodes are also having their own issues, which I'll reach out and diagnose with them individually. Close this out.
@corpetty has reported issues connecting to our Avalanche nodes from outside.
