I'd like to introduce my buddies to status, but currently it's a bit hard to do so:
https://status.im/ doesn't have a download button. "Join the community" leads to our riot chat. There's a box in the middle that looks like this:
It doesn't say what it does - there's no information about what should be entered in the box and what should happen when submit is pressed.
Further, it appears that for those that try it out, there are problems getting it to work - they receive no email if they enter an email address. Several people have asked me how to install status after trying that.
From @chadyj, I've learned that https://get.status.im/ should allow you to download the application in a platform-appropriate way.
Unfortunately, in a desktop web browser this simply redirects to https://status.im/ which is not helpful.
Further, there's https://status.im/success - there are links there that point people to the play stores, but that link is hard to remember.
