I'll resolve the raredisease.ts conflict–I made quite a few refactors so I'll integrate as such.

Great!! If you have the conflicts resolved, please go ahead and merge everything to main - I would rather you do it than me!

Difficult to easily see the relevant refactors I made from the updated raredisease.ts in this branch from the current one in main. I think I covered all concerns via comments.

@staylor7 Please check if this runs/looks the same as before my commit. I more than likely accidently changed some behavior.
