Build internal hardware version #7

There is enough space in the PSP to fit an Arduino inside if the UMD drive was removed.

Building a PCB to fit all needed hardware should work and be reasonably easy.

The difficulty is finding a way to connect the original PSP's face buttons and the Arduino to the PSP's connectors at the same time.

I have tried numerous ideas and the best option seems to be to replace the original button FPC's with custom ones that provide easy access solder pads to connect the Arduino too.

However looking to have these made in a low volume prototype stage seems terrible expensive and beyond my means as a hobby project.

If anyone with greater hardware skills than mine (i don't have much) could figure this out that would be great, i would happily make any needed software changes.

Here are a couple of blog posts on the subject if people would like to see more information on my investigations.

As of right now (3/4/223) this feature is on hold. Currently this is a consolizer project and will remain that way. In the future when either my skills improve, or my disposable income increases i will re-investigate this feature.

So this is in active developent and going well targeting an ESP.

A PCB is current 1/3 of the way through being designed. Once done targeting other PSP's, such as the 3000 or 1000 should be allot easier as all that is needed is custom FPC's specifically for those consoles.

However arguably the 1000 is only useful with the HDMI mod installed too, however that also occupy the UMD space so can't be used at the same time.
