Hi, did you try it, did it work?
@carlosxfigueroa I can't see why not! It should work!
How is battery life?
Also I upgraded to the same laptop you have but the 1080p and booting the installer is impossible for me, it crashes half way trying to boot and i can’t figure out why
DGPU powers on after wake and power usage is high on idle. Please help
@steelbrain Have you got the laptop work in Big Sur?
@astro-lee-k I had to RMA my laptop due to some faulty dGPU stuff so I didn’t test it.
Opencore did not have a 4k laptop screen patch for BigSur back when I was hackintoshing, but I think it does now! So nothing should stop you from upgrading, you’ll have to make some modifications tho
Hello @steelbrain ,
do you have a full 120hz refresh rate? mine does not have.
@sanoj-m 4k 120hz never works on iGPU, even on Windows. The internal GPU connector does not have the necessary bandwidth IIRC.
Furthermore, there are no NVIDIA drivers for macOS. So you're stuck with iGPU, therefore stuck on 60hz :)
@sanoj-m Is the brightness control natively work on your laptop's screen?
@shiecldk yes, mine works without any issue.
@steelbrain Actually i have seen the intel documentation max out 4k 60hz, but just want to confirm.
@sanoj-m Could you attach your original and/or patched DSDT? I have similar laptop but cannot get the brightness adjustment work. Thank you!
