There was another instance of this with a +852 number. More details will be provided over a private channel.
Experiencing the same with +61 mobile numbers where the leading zero is usually omitted when prefixed with the country code for international calls. Neither of these formats are accepted 4XXXXXXXX, 04XXXXXXXX
Landline seems to be accepted however, but not much use for receiving SMS messages.
2018-11-03 Update Issue seems to be resolved. Was able to verify an AU +61 mobile phone number today.
A user is reporting that they are getting a
error_phone_invalid
error when attempting to register with an Indian phone number. Possibly related to https://github.com/steemit/faucet/issues/240.The phone number is in the format: +91 xxxxxxxxxx
