My country Sudan is blocked from steemit #376

Hello:

I need to know why my country Sudan is blocked by steemit , we are not able to browse it unless we use a proxy or vpn.

Also when we try to register a new account using a proxy my country Sudan doesn't exist on the list of countries on phone verification step.

Sounds like this may be an issue with your own government or ISP? I Believe Sudan's lack of a government may also be the issue with the country code? I think VPN is a good option for now but in the meantime, we really should add this country in the list, even if they don't have a working country code, maybe we can assign one or look up the new country code assigned to south Sudan see if that is causing the issue. Anyway thanks for reporting this, Africa is an important part of the future manpower of steem.

@ackza , Thanks for reply.

I asked my ISP and they put no restriction on steemit server or website.

We are one of the oldest country here in Africa that have a telephone network exactly from 1897 year.

And we have no issue regarding our country code.

You just don't add us to the list of accepted countries.

Me and many of my friends looking forward to add us.

list of accepted countries? Are you sure there is a list? Can you find out what list that might be/ I doubt there is a list i think you need to just go to Busy.org! https://busy.org try that instead

Steem is a blockchain yyou cannot block it, but the steemit.com front end is just one of MANy website yuou can use to use steem blockchain! download dlive for example dlive app https://dlive.io i can helpo u create a steem account instant just give me an email address or just email me zackza at gmail and i will send u a steem invite lihjnk and ionce u have ur own steem account u can just create accounts for all ur friends , u just need 14 SP and 0.1 steem t pay to instantly crteate anew account dnt worryu. then u can just use busy.org or esteem ap[p ui dont need steemit.com !
