Somehow maintainers decided to revert the fix to issue 27. It seems patch for it was conflicting with other branches code.
The problem is still there, so I am opening a new issue which represents the original one.
All of this could have been avoided if code had been tested before merging the PR which caused the SyntaxError to appear.
