Note currently api.steemit.com doesn't seem to be fully compatible with steem-python as shown in issues: https://github.com/steemit/steem-python/issues/108 and https://github.com/steemit/steem-python/issues/114

Is it just me or is api.steemit.com not full functional?

when broadcasting batch payments it quits with RPC Error afert a few payments are made (sometimes immediately)

@juicypop if you are still experiencing the above, please open an issue for it with error logs.
