Overall the introduction leaves the impression of being incomplete. It
does mention the leading examples of the book, but at the end it left
me totally in the dark about what the book would do about these data:
What will be the structure of the argument (as represented by the book
chapters), what are the basic assumptions of the theory to come, what
will I know after reading the book, which questions will be left
unresolved? While I don't like overly long introductions either, here
I'm left with too little information on the book. If I didn't have to
review it, it's not clear I would have gone on there.
