10 years ago I am aware of it but it's usually a problem only on retina devices and very big files.
It's a side effect of fetching the highlighting info (for way more text than in the main editor) and how Xcode deals with that and unfortunately, there's nothing I can do about it.

There is definitely a performance drop in the text editor with this plugin enabled. Typing out text becoming very laggy.
