As documented in [1] and [2], maintaining a non-Debian specific
package in upstream repository ('native') is not recommended:
You should only use a native Debian package when it is clear
that the package would not be useful outside the context of a
Debian system, and would never be distributed except packaged
for Debian or its derivatives.
Move the Debian packaging to Debian Salsa [3], using non-native
format.
