This minimally updates your license to make it easier to use your library. Because of your changes from the standard text and conventions, we were forced to go through an internal legal review by our corporate lawyer. I hope to save others from the same.
Rename the license file to LICENSE to match convention and make it easier to find (our lawyer thought your project was unlicensed since the file wasn't named "right")
You are the "copyright holder" so replacing with "the author" makes no meaningful change. But, it meant our lawyer insisted on carefully reviewing the rest of the text to be sure you hadn't changed the license (from a legal perspective).
