I just realized that this issue has not been fixed... It seemed there was a PR but somehow it didn't make it in the main branch...

Sorry for not addressing this PR until now. I submitted a new version (0.9.0) to CRAN, which is fully synced with the GitHub version, where this bug is fixed.
