[Bug] Alt+double click still fires right click on underlying windows after move is done #110

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Alt+right dbl click in such a way that the cursor will not end up above the
just moved window
=> It will trigger a right click on the application. If the right click, on the
other hand is such that the cursor is above the just moved application, it can
be seen that the context menu is suppressed.

What version of AltDrag are you using? On what operating system?
Latest beta from Apr 20 2013. Win 7 x64

Additional bug:
When I alt double click a window into a corner and then move the window with
Alt+Left it will resize to its previous size. If I move it by dragging the
title bar it'll stay the same size successfully.

Cheers and thanks for this awesome tool! :)

I think the event still fires if the cursor ends up over the window, but since
you're holding Alt there is often nothing that happens (the other
windows/desktop does not know you are holding Alt).

I'll take a look at it! Thanks for reporting.

As for the additional bug, that's the intended behavior. Alt+right double click
invokes the same behavior as Alt+drag to an edge, which works like the built-in
Aero Snap. With Aero Snap, if you move a window after having attached it to a
side of the monitor, it will restore to its original size. Do you think this
behavior should be changed for Alt+right double click?

If you want to retain the resized size, just quickly press it with Alt+Resize
and AltDrag will not restore it to its original size when you move it.

Also, when you drag it with the title bar it does not restore to its original
size since AltDrag is not invoked. For more information on this see issue 61.

Even though the campaign is not done (there are still $300 to go), I am fixing
this bug in an effort to release another beta and drive more pledges to the
fundraising.

If you haven't added a pledge yet, please consider adding one.

Look forward to the next beta. :)
