cell culture substrate def: surface on which a cell culture grows or is attached

matrigel substrate def: a cell culture substrate that is composed of matrigel

cell culture substrate df= A processed material on which a cell culture grows or is attached.

Question: Do we intend something more specific about the material? E.g., the processed material is specifically created to grow cells.
