Management updates from Daniel
(Luke) Update: UK Biobank demo meeting on Wed.
(~30 min) Lightning talks (~5-10 min) by:
- Luke W. Johnston: Running frequent in-person co-working sessions to get help and nurture research culture
- Daniel Witte: Having an journalist in the classroom
- Omar Silverman: Family Synchrony project outline
(30 min) Presentation by Louise Bechmann (PhD student from Department of Clinical Biochemistry at Rigshospitalet): Genetic variation in SGLT2 and cardiovascular disease

New people introduced, plus brief update on Trello card structure.
Management updates:
- IDEG, in Porto Dec 3-5, deadline for abstract this Friday (card made of it).
- Adam got funding from NNF, woohoo, congrats!
- Sept 14th lecture by Jens and Annelli, from 2-5pm
- Epi group social meeting, Nov 30?
UK Biobank demo: Will be screen recorded, so can watch it later. Will add link here.
Lightning round:
- Coding cafe style thing, Luke will send out more detail about it since there is some interest.
- "Constructive journalism", looking and reporting on the future, inspiration. Might be a really good way of connecting and getting another perspective, especially in a teaching context.
