I worked out an interesting mechanic for the length of time Muckle can "charge" and "hold charge". Here's how it works:
The charge progress bar will grow over time early on in the game, possibly based on something he collects when he finishes a level. I was thinking that early on in the game, he won't be able to get to full charge, so he will only be able to use this ability to make electrical connections between two things and to zap baddies. Then, once the charge ability reaches full charge potential, the progress bar gets a second progress bar inside it, which shows how long Muckle can hold on to a full charge. At this point, he'll be able to control other characters, but only for a limited time. This "charge hold" time will continue to grow as Muckle progresses.
