about tags

hi , i have some questions. i am currently working on the project that is about communicating plc and pc'S .Formerly , we used opc core components .Now , we decided to use modbus tcp . We have tags.i got the libmodbus library and viewed.Everything is ok but apart from one thing .I could not figure out how to create tags and register them.And of course how to write values.If any helps , I appreciated .

I think you read some more info about modbus. Tags is a typical opc stuff. You can find more info about modbus on http://modbus.org
