Hey Nathan.
Things are finally clearing up. Late yesterday we got the Toolkit Jr book off to the printers. Susan now is asking for some promo material but I finally feel like I'm getting some space to get on bigger projects. It seems like this is her first production working with a designer so I'll just say, revisions galoooooor!
I have a file setup and mapped out some ideas. I'll hit you with the ideas early next week (Mon/Tues) and if they sound good to you I should be able to get it done within the week.
Thanks for your patience.
Jake

Hey guys. Here's my idea. It's using the colors from the site that I've been using. The PDF shows the major stages.
Time: Between 5-15 seconds
Let me know if this will work of if you have notes and I'll get animating.
@createoutloud this was more than I was expecting, but I like it! Haha. Overall I love the way it looks and feels, it's way cool.
I do have a few requests, though: 1.) You can get rid of the last animation (step 7) because the video team is simply going to fade to black after the logo appears and then display the first question from the series. 2.) I personally feel that there may be a bit too many shades of blue, not enough contrasting colors. Perhaps we should replace one of the lighter blues with our gold color. What do you think of that?

I’ll do that but since it’s just one step I’ll create my idea and your idea as well. Won’t take mischief longer and will be good to have this effect as an option.

I thought we were trying to move away from the gold all together. I haven’t been using it in my designs for a while but do still see it in the video footers. That’s one thing I’d really like to do is a brand guide so we are all on the same page with these types of choices. Especially with giving more trust to companies like Fusion360. Thoughts?
I was not aware that we were moving away from the gold completely, that's the first I've heard of it. I'm guessing that's something you and Stephen have discussed while designing the site?
Well, if that's the direction we're going, then I guess stick with the blue. But yeah, it'd be good to get all the branding information down somewhere soon.
Let's move forward with this one and then I'll shift and get that brand guide down. I know we had talked about it a while ago with Joseph but not sure a lot of the team go the memo. Might be good to get the head of the Video team in on my thoughts for the brand guide as well so all final decisions made there work for both the marketing and video team.
Any thoughts on that Stephan? Specifically on moving away from the gold.

Stephen's in a Gaylen meeting today, but yeah I also agree that we should get Eric and Matt from the video team on board when we make the guide.
Cool. I have a good grasp of getting the brand guide started which will give everyone an idea of what might be missing and need to be added or removed. So I’ll get it going after this animation project this week then knock that out next week.

There are two of the "Why Music" ones one with the blues I've been using on the site and one with a little gold.
I created one that I really like that is pretty general and quick. The last slide of that one (slide-intro) is transparent so when the last slide slides left you'll also see whatever footage is behind it. So an idea of how that one could be used is with the Why Music? project is once the last slide rolls and the footage starts the music team can whatever text they want displayed independent of my animation.
Let me know if you have any questions or change requests from you or the music team.
@createoutloud
So we are going to be launching a new video series to try to drive traffic called "Why Music?" Basically, the video team has been asking each of our instructors on our shoot why they feel music is important and why they chose to pursue music.
As such, I want the series to have its own specific animated intro. Basically the exact same as the "Music Your Way" animation that you made, but just replace the words "Music Your Way" with "Why Music Series."
Let me know how difficult and how long that would be to create.
Thanks!
