ubuntu 12.04 cant see plugin in gedit #18

i'm on ubuntu 12.04 and try to use your scripts. i create the "gedit/plugins" 
directory in ~/.gnome2 but, when i open gedit, i can't see the ftp plugin in 
the plugins tab.

i actually read that this plugins only works for gedit v2 :(
