I'm pretending I've read this. (My IEEE membership just lapsed.) I don't have a problem with paywall content in our feed. Others may have different opinions. Would we screen out a WSJ news item on the Consortium or throw a party?
I dislike the paywall. (not open). Although the content looks good and is from a very legit source.
I don't have a problem with paywalls that are from academic/well respected industry (like ieee) publications -- If something about confidential computing made it into the WSJ, I'd probably be making a call based on content over paywall (likely "WSJ contributor" level content or throw-a-party content; probably not much in between ;) )
Not sure how I feel about this one. Not a fan of stuff behind paywalls (though I do have access). Also this one doesn't really seem to acknowledge broader confidential computing and goes deep on a relatively narrow view of TEEs that is not very well aligned with cloud usages.
Would prefer avoiding content behind paywall, but if we include should note upfront that this is behind paywall.
I believe it's the same as this non-paywalled version on the author's site: http://people.irisa.fr/Mohamed.Sabt/PUBLICATIONS-HTML/trustcom_2015_tee_what_it_is_what_it_is_not.pdf
