Anyone going to FENS 2016? interested in helping out? know someone who would be a great speaker? Get in touch here!

This is a great idea! So many people I've spoken to 'know' that data sharing is great but focus to much on the extra work and not on the success stories.

I'd be happy to try and get something going for the next conference I am going to which would be FENS in Copenhagen (early July) but maybe there isn't enough time?

Hi Alex! Thrilled that you like the idea!
I took a look at the FENS documents for exhibit space and/or submission for presentations and it looks like we've passed "official" deadlines but perhaps there is some persuading that can be done for a less "formal" opportunity? Let's chat! Want to ping me via email and we can set up a time to Skype/call or some other synchronous communication venue? I'm at steph at mozillafoundation dot org.

[x] Contact Members of FENS committee (waiting for reply)
[ ] Try and find someone to help out that has some video experience (both in order to have some clips to play on loop during the conference and also maybe to make a short summary video after) / Find a website with some easy to use software that does this for you...
[ ] Check list of attendees on May 15th
[ ] Email relevant attendees
[ ] Get support from data-sharing platforms (CRCNS, neurodata.io)
[x] Recruit people to help out with set-up/manning the stall (list in separate comment)
[x] Speak to people at OHBA

Chris Gorgolewski at Stanford - http://reproducibility.stanford.edu/who-we-are/. One of the strongest advocates of data sharing in neuroimaging (see also Russ Poldrack).

Update: Not looking super hopeful on the getting a free/cheap space... Got quoted a non profit price but over $1000. Not sure the events organiser really understood what we were looking for though.

Trying a few alternative routes to see if we can get the fee waived. Looks like it might be possible.
