This be a duplicate.

All of the information required here, may already be covered in Patience.

However, it's important stuff which bears repeating.

So, the things we need to reinforce here from the Patience page:

The point of this is to think of other people's point-of-view and perspectives. We've all got lives going on outside of the project. It's important to respect that when seeking help and answers.

Let's face it: most people don't want to be rude and aren't really aiming to be offensive. We get caught up in the moment. Be aware of that when working on these projects and try to give people the benefit of the doubt.

You'll be glad you did.

Mostly, this is a reiteration of the point that people need to keep perspective.

Along those lines, we should link to the CoC here. To help remind people that there's a certain level of understanding, politeness, and discourse expected when participating in this open source project along with many others.

As @wilw says, "Don't be a dick."
